Shiz is getting real
Okay guys, it’s time for the big announcement!
My blog has a new home and a sexy new domain, so if you want to hear from me then love it on Bloglovin, follow me on Facebook and Twitter, or just check out my site when you feel like it 🙂 Thank you for all the support you’ve given me on WordPress.com but you know, got to spread those wings and fly, push that ship out of the dock, bigger fish to fry, and more cheesy crap like that…
And so it begins….
It finally happened! I finished University a couple of months ago and now the saving and planning for my RTW trip has begun. Now, I’m not going to lie, planning a RTW trip can be very overwhelming – especially when the person you’re going with lives 3 hours away! But here are a few pointers that I’ve managed conjure up as a good place to start.
I have failed. I have failed miserably…
Yes, I am aware it’s not even the end of the month. It’s official, I am out of shape in the saving department, and I need to woop my ass back in to gear.
Cheap, unique, a way to meet the locals, and value for money. Sign me up!
Any travel blogger, or travel blog binge-er, has come across the name Air BnB. So, when trying (see: going out of my mind!) to book a hotel in Brighton for one night and unexpectantly being faced with the over whelming prices, lack of rooms, and two-night stay policies, the epiphany of Air BnB struck me.
It’s like a birthday wish list, but for a year-long trip around the world.
It’s 2.30 pm, I’m wearing pyjamas in bed and I’m feeling very hungover. Yes my readers, I have finished with my dissertation, and within a few weeks I’ll be finished with University altogether!
My months of reading, writing and lets face it, having somewhat of a break down, did not get in my way of some Round The World procrastination. As mentioned in my ‘Where I’m going on my RTW trip’ post, you all know that once the gates of the University pen have opened I shall be taking on a great adventure through Australasia. These are just few things which I have been aching to add to my packing list.
Okay, so it may seem like I’m the last to jump on the bandwagon, but there are still some people about who are unaware of the most amazing travel scrap-booking website around.
Your guide to packing for a weekend away.
This is a blog post all about what I like to pack for a weekend trip, couresy of TrekAmerica’s #Blog4Trek competition. Regardless if I win or not, I think this is quite an interesting post and I loved writing it!
